We consider raw materials, production, packaging, transport and their impact on the environment and climate in our daily work. We use lower-emission alternatives as raw materials and, where possible, by-products from the food industry. Emissions minimization is carried out in every aspect of our business operations according to the principle of avoidance, reduction, modification and compensation. We offset the small remaining emissions through various projects (e.g.: reforestation of Finnish forests).

Alvar's profitability and growth will never be at the expense of the environment - in fact, this is required by our Articles of Association.
